BEMO, represented in the UK by KeyBemo Ltd, a specialist of high-quality roofing and cladding solutions of multi-metal standing seam, has reorganized their international activities.

With immediate effect the independent companies in U.K., Germany, USA, Brazil, the Middle East and Singapore have joined together to cooperate in a marketing alliance.

KeyBemo Managing Director John Charlton states that jointly we have extended our resources to offer architects and investors a variety of solutions and products which are unique in the world.

The visible symbol for this new alliance is the new brand of the Group.

Lawrence Claxton – General Manager – explains in more detail:

“The leaf is the archetypal roof. It has the ideal shape for their environment, perfectly designed to meet the demands of very specific conditions. Its sustainable design is perfectly tailored to its particular environmental conditions. What´s more, leaves boast astounding natural variety, fueling our creative imagination.

BEMO products are modeled on the greatest architect of all times: nature itself.

The BEMO leaf is the visible symbol of a strong brand for exceptional buildings and outstanding solutions for roof and facade.

No other symbol better represents the incredible variety of shapes, materials and finishes of BEMO than the leaf.

BEMO continues to invest in high quality production technology. A special feature of BEMO is that all production machines of the Group are mobile and available worldwide on projects – as well as those situated in the individual factory production facilities of the alliance.

The Gold Medal (7 consecutive Golds) award will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2011.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), a safety charity, launched its awards programme 55 years ago. The scheme looks not only at accident records, but also entrants’ overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that have demonstrated their commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. KeyBEMO Ltd has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, marking achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals, president’s awards and orders of distinction.

Competitive awards are presented in more than 20 sectors, and specialist awards recognise excellence in specific areas, such as the management of occupational road risk.

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.

Three days of award ceremonies and three gala evening dinners will be held in Birmingham from May 17-19, alongside Safety & Health Expo 2011, Europe’s leading annual health and safety exhibition. An award ceremony and gala dinner will also take place in Glasgow in September.

See www.rospa.com/awards/ for more information about the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.

Fully certified and trained staff ensure efficent production which is fully compliant with Health and Safety regulations. The on-site production team have training such as slinger signaller, crane supervisor, CSCS, CPCS and appointed person.

The mobile roll-former is independently suspended by mobile crane without the need to be secured to the building structure. 1 tonne counter weights keep the facility secure while an integrated generator provides power. The 19 tonne roll-former can be moved along the eaves to reduce sheet handling and potential sheet damage. On-site production helps reduce packaging waste and reduces multiple lorry load deliverys therefore reducing emissions and Co2. For long sheet lengths or for sites with tight access, on-site rollforming can be the ideal solution.

From the moment KeyBEMO arrive on-site, their roll-former can be setup to manufacture at eaves level in just 30 minutes. The facility holds 2 full coils which enables over 900m2 (0.9mm aluminium) to be produced immediatly and directly onto the roof. Reloading of coils for additional production takes just 35 minutes which can result in up to 3600m2 per day. This quick and cost effective production method enables production of virtually unlimited sheet lengths which would otherwise be untransportable by road. Single length roof sheets of up to 0.7 mile long are possible; no end laps required, no water ingress issues.

KeyBEMO can produce all their standard profile cover widths on site, such as:

Most standing seam system solutions are certified to a minimum pitch of 1.5 degrees, however, KeyBEMO’s latest product enables a roof slope as low as 0.6 degrees.

The rubber seal is a tried and tested* solution for standing seam roofs that enables the required minimum roof pitch of 1.5 degree for normal profiles to be reduced to 0.6 degrees for profiles with a rubber seal.
